Rolex

Need some Info? Please help!

I have an old Rolex, I have been told by one dealer it was from the 1930's, and from another it was from the 1950's. What is the best and easiest, and cheapest way to find out, the details of my watch? Unfortunately I do not have any paperwork for it, as it was a gift. I was told by a friend that it was a rare one. It is a datejust,or OysterDate, I think(I don't have it in front of me) it has an alternating color from black to red in the date window, and I was told it has a piepan or waffle dial. Oh and it is not an automatic wind, it is a manual. Which seems to me like that might make it older than the 50's???
And possibly more valuable??? I haven't seen many manual Rolex's.
I would greatly appreciate any info from the experts out there. Also if you can tell me how to post a picture with my Iphone, I can take one of the watch and do that, if it will help.
Thanx!!!!!
