Rolex

Milgauss Bezel Scratches

I also developed numerous hairline scratches at the "9 position".  Then, I realized it was simply the action of shirt cuff that was wearing away at the metal.  This took place over the first few weeks and honestly, I was very surprised.  Between you and me and the rest of the world, I think this is a design flaw and I'm not very happy about it.  Perhaps this is why Rolex is now using ceramic as bezel material on several of its watches, including the new Daytona.

I've also noted that the scratches, while fine, are too deep to be removed with a jewels cloth.  The only solution is to send it back to Rolex to refinish.  I was planning also perhaps to trade this for another model.

The final saving grace was that my 21 year old daughter saw me wearing the Milgauss last night, and even in spite of its large size, noted it was actually smaller than the Michael Kors fashion watch she has been wearing lately. She told me "I could rock that."  So, I guess it will be hers.

Cheers.
