Need expext advices for a Red Sub
Hi everybody,
I need please your expert advices. What do you think about this one:

The ref. of the bracelet is 78360 with End Links 501 (so not original, I don't know the date of production of this one).
The seller told me that the serial is 2,2 millions (1969) and the dial and the hands are original. The crown is a triplock (so I think the watch have been serviced because this should be a twinlock for this date of production, no?)
What do you think about the value of this watch? The fact that the bracelet is not the original one is really a negative point?
Thanks a lot

the dial would concern me more than the bracelet. You should ask for a larger scan, as fake dials are getting better every day. Here's some homework... The Submariner in general: rolex.watchprosite.com The Red 1680 in details: rolex.watchprosite.com

Hi Aston, Please find below a picture of my 2.2 mil 1680 for comparison. In a certain lighting, the dial turns a brownish color. Just like the one on your pictures....
Date type-face

The date size appears correct, the magnification seems consistent.....It's the type-face that seems odd, the thickness of the numerals looks thin( thinner than my 1680) maybe the date-wheels vary? Rgrds....
