If that were the case,
then would not the whole date window appear smaller in the cyclops? Also, the light source reflected near the top of the cyclops would not be there if the cyclops had been flatten.

Hi Aston, Please find below a picture of my 2.2 mil 1680 for comparison. In a certain lighting, the dial turns a brownish color. Just like the one on your pictures....

The date size appears correct, the magnification seems consistent.....It's the type-face that seems odd, the thickness of the numerals looks thin( thinner than my 1680) maybe the date-wheels vary? Rgrds....
