daer all I can read everywhere (at least on the web) that the 6110 replaced the 6150 in 1959 but what about production years of the the 6110 ? when did it start ? 1956, earlier ? as we can find serial numbers and caseback dated 1956 (i found one as well a...

its a 186,xxx serial number and ii56 case but i have to admit i was sceptical due to the fact that official release of the 6610 was supposed to occur in 1958/59
Golden Rule.....always triple check!
I think especially when it comes to some of the much older pieces, its worth getting confirmation on what is believed to be true.

not being contained in the linked post by Joe.... what about production years of the second hand 'big bubble" or "big dot"please ? i know i have pretty existential issue but summer times (at the office) are favourable for this type of enquiry/research...
does it means
that 56's case with big dot is an anchronism (as i would say in a polit way) ? i think i will buy a 14270 at the end instead :-)

On that I disagree. The lollipop has been in 6610 much after '54...
And it is normal. Yours is from 1956 and has it. Mine from 1957 has it, too... I would worry if it didn't have it! Best, Nicolas
Naah, I think that we were speaking about the " Big Bubble " on the second hand.

to me ...the Big Bubble was a watch that was produced for just one year...1954...... i got confused!!
At least till '58, the second hand has to be lollipop.
I've seen some later 6610 with no loolipop hand, but I feel more comfortable with the gilt hands and lollipop second hand. Best, Nicolas
Up to 1961??? I thouhgt it was discontinued with the arrival of the 1016.

sorry no picture but ...
I have seen a couple of them in the past with case number in the late 600.000 range , so from 1961. this is not the first overlap as for ex. there are also some 6538 with backs signed " 60 " and case numbers consistent to that time.
