Completely agree with you that these type of Rolex are very charming, and in my opinion representative of the type of watches which built the reputation and spirit of this beloved brand in the 1950´s and 60`s.
Size, dial, hands, the domed plexi, and also the particular look of the riveted Oyster bracelet, etc. make for the charm of this watch.
Regretaby, these watches do not receive the attention from collectors they deserve. But we can take advantage of this fact to build a little collection of them at much affordable prices than the more looked after Sports (or tool) models.
I got an identical sample, which I feel must be very close in age to yours, and it wishes to say Hello! to its brother on your wrist!
