I'm inclined to think the original "disappearing" nature of the seconds hand was deliberate. In a tool watch like the DSSD, there's probably a functional reason for it. I cannot recall the last time I needed to read the seconds; let alone taking into acco... 

Sorry, not an expert, but I used to dive with a red light strobe in one hand and camera and housing equipment in another. The red light strobe was to compensate for the loss of red colour at depth. Modern cameras have a setting for this so you don't need ... 

But why not just get some glasses..;-)

I did the same to a second hand watch. I was shocked at how customers loved it, but those connected to Rolex chastise and attempt to intimidate customers for doing what they want to their Rolex. Did you ask your AD what he/she thinks of it? I love it!

I like to see the second hand moving as, to me, it makes the piece more alive. Aloha, Bob
