Difficult to match the quality of the Ref 6610 specimens...

 

... you and Bill are showing, inlcuding Joe´s red inscription example. Anyway I wish to share my own specimen (I have shown it here before), bought from original owner, who bought it in October 1957. Inside case it shows II-56 date of manufacture. I got with original box, invoice and guarantee, including several additional guarantees from the local Official Rolex service. Regretably I feel that during one of those services the original hands were changed sad It is so difficult to find perfection in a 50 years plus watch, but anyway I´m very happy with this one. I love the vintage look of this reference 6610! Thanks for sharing these watches and calling our attention to such a classic model from Rolex which always fires our imagination and brings us the vision of adventurers and explorers of the mid XX Century visiting far and exotic places ! Is the one and only rolex model that I love... Not too big for my wrist, and 39 mm the current model is perfect size. This vintages are definitely more beautiful than the current one, imho... Ronald
