Rolex

Granted even tho the language barrier was there, you asked them way too many times about price, ask twice then pull the trigger if you like it. Ive been in way to many

situations with other brands where they sell the watch from under you when you leave or pull this same kind of mojo with prices, dirty dealer practice yes, but if you didn’t know you wanted the Daytona then, pass. I’d report them as stated because even with a language barrier your money would have been good whether you speak English, Nepalese, Croatian or Italian etc.

Second lesson, treat all dealers/AD as children that way you minimize getting Burnt when making a purchase, ask them something then if its within your grasp purchase the piece don’t over complicate things. Always talk to the manager in your purchase as if they go back on their word this isn’t an AD you want to deal with.

You asking them about price multiple times initiated them thinking how to get more of your money (my thought is something like they thought you were richy rich and were asking because the price was too low for the Daytona and wanted to spend more) my rule or thumb, is as such 1. Ask them on the phone about price 2. Visit dealer and try the watch (I found this the most disturbing part of the whole report, what if you bring it home and it fits horribly....bad customer service.) 3. Confirm price again 4. Buy and then eat/drink to celebrate.

Some AD (not just Rolex) get away with this practice because it sells watches and no one complains, easy as that. Every watch company values their reputation and if this was more reported on forums in general and it led to a decline in sales they would take notice.

I hope that helps a bit smile
