Probably reaching into somewhere or putting kids into the shopping cart etc🤷‍♂️ actually not too noticeable as I took that on zoom. Just thought I often find the guards bulky or cumbersome... they serve a purpose🤣

Years ago, while wind surfing, a falling mask hit right on the crown of my watch. There was no crown guard, water got into the watch. It was an inexpensive quartz. A crown guard is there to protect but unlike airbags in cars, stay concealed.

Your comment is a great reminder that a Rolex (or other fine dive/sports watch) is designed to withstand punishment and protect what's inside -- the movement! As I say this, I can't help but remember those old Timex ads -- 'Takes a lickin and keeps on tic...
