and last but not least, introduced the maxi dial from the kermit to its regular line-up. Then it would have been very easy for me to get off the fence.
Barring this one, I think the last best looking subs were the 4 digit refs (5512, 1680).. but then I'm not a vintage guy.
I've had a hard time getting into modern subs because the 5 digits have I think really small-ish lume indices and the 6 digits have that super case. Also, i really prefer 2-liner dials.
As it stands right now, I'm flip flopping between a good specimen 2 liner 14060 (which is not easy to stumble upon to these days) and a current 114060.. just because I'm thinking I need to experience a sub at some point. Anyway, I'll get around to it soon. I don't think the new sub will be attainable anyway
So, yeah, that's probably why I didn't really bother looking at subs throughout my life preferring the get a 2254 Omega SMP300 many moons back. There was just always something that prevented me from getting a sub.
Great sub, Jay. If I had the money to pony up the premium, I can see myself just getting this one and ending my long drawn sub search.
