I know, a watch you are showing is rarely from current production ...
Even if I am hardly knowledgeable regarding Rolex, I saw that this variant is older. The current one has larger markers (the only indication I am aware of at a quick glance. I know that Rolexians are able to list a dozen or so differences within a moment).
But this watch is one of those Rolex sporties that is not immediately identifiable as a Rolex, and therefore might enjoy less affection than other models. I am glad about this, since it is the only Rolex I seriously think about buying (aside the Cellini Prince).
I also want to apologize for the typing errors in my previous post. But at least on my Android phone, the forum software is not very friendly to use.

This Rolex Explorer II is absolutly underrated if we compare it with a GMT Master and not so blinciblinci like the Pepsi or Coke bezel. Best Walter

I love this watch
It's my third now (16570 Polar / Luminova, then 16550 Black / Tritium, now 16570 Polar Tritium), and a model I can't do without. All the qualities of a Rolex in a package that doesn't look like one. Perfect. Mine says hello. ...

Unfortunately I don't remember, because I bought it at the end of 80's (new) & I sold it at the beginning of 90's.
In this period people weren't interested in those kind of details, the most important things being conditrion of watch & full set (or not).
