I was actually offered and excepted a platinum day date
Last year. Basically the same configuration but as I remember, it had a fluted bezel ice blue dial with a plied Roman indices.
They were ready to remove the links and at the very last moment I decided against. Something about the dial it just didn’t do it for me. so I waited and was offered this WG version which when I saw the dial I fell in love 
I believe that the beauty of a precious white metal is the versatility. It can be worn for almost any occasion.
