How much did they offer for the GMT, I would figure you could easily sell it for 16-17k market price?

Your best option is selling it yourself but I would wait a little bit and see what the market does. I doubt it goes down. Perhaps contact known grey dealers if they can source you a new DD and see what's possible when you trade it in. Do they still discou... 

Amazing what 5 years does to the market. Easy 5-8k discounts are completely gone on the DD.

First, I've regretted selling every watch I've ever sold. Second, I've regretted passing on every dream watch I was ever offered.

But thanks for your reply, because i recognize regretting having sold some watches (thankfully not all). Now i have to figure out whether i will regret letting the opportunity to buy the DD go by…i think because the DD is not as hard to get it will be ok....

Today my choices are brands and models that most would not recognise and I am much less self-conscious when out and about.

attention did it for me. That’s exactly one of my fears that will happen and spoil the fun of owning or even wearing a DD. Come to think of it, two years ago I almost got mugged wearing a GMT Pepsi in Amsterdam and that made me decide to change it for a Y... 

And I have the same weak spot for white dials as well…

If the two watches still put a smile on your face then keep them , if not and you know the DD will then i would say let them go to another good home

dealer was checking the Yachtmaster and saying it looked really nice I couldn’t help but agreeing with him that indeed that YM looks really nice (so why in the hell would I want to sell it😬) so the doubt started right there and then…

It’s clear you’ve listed after it, so that’s the not the question. So I’m asking a more practical one, will you or can you wear it day to day? I’m assuming the YM and the GMT are easily worn in your daily situations. For me, as much as I loved the coloure... 

I will wear the DD every day. Actually it is a watch that really makes you consider where you ‘can’ wear it and where not (certain neighbourhoods, occasions or in certain meetings with clients I could not see myself wearing it). It’s a watch that attracts... 

Assuming the YM is a watch you do wear regularly and enjoy doing so.
