Just got this baby to add to my fledgeling collection...I feel like is doesn't get a lot of respect, but as a pilot I like the GMT function as well as the GMT Master II or better? P model 2000... Holes/SEL ...

I'm a big fan of all the Explorer 2's. And this one certainly fits better than the 216570.
Need to see this more often here.. we're more accustomed to seeing the polar. Would've been perfect if they came out with a quickset date! I suppose back then they thought you were going to be content with only one watch for the rest of your life :p

Otherwise their prices would be through the roof!! I really like the Explorer2s, they fly under the radar (excuse the pun!), but fit the very definition of tool watch. I like the Bezel too, in the same material with the GMT hours etched into it.
These maxi plots have a real charm for me.
Are these pictures all the same watch? I noticed the first pic has a more creamy patina, maybe it is the lighting. Theese watches do not scream 'I AM A ROLEX' and yet they are undeniably 100% ROLEX!! (If that makes sense!)
