Rolex

Just an observation...

 


but does anybody else look at the photos and think Bernie E is wearing a watch that has not yet been sized for his tiny little wrists? He apears to be holding it on with the index finger of his right hand. Do you think he turned up to the event in his Hublot and they just threw a Rolex on him? Two things about this bother me; 1. If you are Rolex paying huge sums to achieve a brand "fit" like this then you need to manage the press event flawlessly and 2. when you are replacing such a prominent association such as that between Hublot and Ecclestone then you need to make it seem natural (I mean who could forget those "See what people will do for a Hublot" adds?). Don't get me wrong I think there is great fit between Rolex and F1 but all the more reason to get the announcement right. It should seen (and probably is the case) that BE has always owned aRolex and is just free to wear it again.

Just my impression. Otherwise good luck to them.

Will they come up with some kind of F1 Rolex line?? It may have been covered but I was bit to lazy to read the details of the press release. Thanks Bill

I strongly doubt it, they sponsor LeMans and other events too but

Unlike every other manufacture they don't make a lemans special or Wimbledon special etc Could be wrong though wont be the first time lol Best Imran
