Hello everyone,
I've been reading the purists for quite a while now, but have never started a thread or posted anything. I am a active member of the TRF and FRM (a brazilian forum) and now want to become a active member in this awesome community.
For my first post and thread, i would like to share with you my latest acquisition. This is my first incursion in the vintage realm. I have always bought modern watches and have been wanting to buy something vintage for some time.
I decided to purchase a Submariner 1680 "Red". It would have to be an all original with good condition and great patina. After searching for a while, I found this exemplar, this is a 3,78xxx serial number, from 1973 with a Mark VI Dial.
The case is pretty thick, with the bevel very visible, uniform and creamy patina, original insert, correct bracelet (9315) and it came with the original Garantie and the receipt (the watch was originally bought in Brazil, my homeland).
I am really happy with it. Thank you and here are some pics.
