Hi Bill, I am worried that I may have offended someone or done something wrong as no one seemed to comment on my pictures of the dial and mechanism outside of the case. If I did, I must apologize but am unaware of any protocol regarding this.

I did come across a similar dial config and PCG from 1963 in the 1.1 mil serial range. Perhaps if you could share the serial, that may add more details for others to chip in on what they know/think. Cheers!

I would just polish the crystal and leave the watch as is.
Assuming it is kerping reasonable time put a nice vintage leather strap and enjoy the watch. Value is hard to estimate without examining the watch.
