Really appreciate...

your in-depth analysis and presentation of these two quasi-vintage modern divers. Fully agree with your points about the futility of trying to replicate a piece that was made more than half a century ago with all the inherent shortcomings in manufacturing of the times. A compromise has to be made and these offerings with all intent and purpose will serve the general watch community with a practical and reliable instrument, with a vintage look and flavour. They will not likely please the vintage connoisseurs who will no doubt see it as a 'bastardization' of the original. But for most they will provide easy entry, coupled with practicality, into the world of the 'glorious past' from a brand with real history and a solid reputation.
