Rolex 16622 question
I have the reference since a while on the radar and had lately more time to look into it.
It appears that the first production year (at least) 1999 or « A series » featured a more interesting dial with the platinum texture being more rough, which captures the light much better than later dials with less grainy dial.
However it is hard to see on pictures and hard to do a side by side comparison. Anybody did this?

Ok thanks apparently the early « sparky » dial
was produced 1999-2001, with 2001-2003 with a transition period where both dial variants where used. So from this picture it looks like an early dial, so you would not notice a difference… 😁
yes, for me a clear reason to go with an earlier version
and the printing on the dial is a bit different I was told. More bold…
I am pulling the trigger likely tomorrow…
Especially after i found out about the early dial and in addition it has a bolder printing on the dial which makes it more look « tool watch »
