Rolex 1675 GMT. Anatomy of the MK1 , MK2 and MK5.

Just a quick and simple overview of three Rolex 1675 matt dials. Missing is the MK3 and 4 just don’t have them in hand.

The MK1 is pretty easy to spot. The “E” in the Rolex have equal lengths i.e. the middle bar. It also has rather thin shape to the Rolex  crown.  It appears just after the gilt dial in the 1.6 million range up to around 2.9 million.  This example is 1.7 mil serial putting it in 1968.

Rolex 1675 MK2 below. The will notice that in the Rolex text the “LE” are closer together than the other letters. The Rolex crown is a little more stout with a flatter bottom like the bart simpson 5513. The serial range is approximately 2.9million to 3.9 million.  This example is a 3,0xx,xxx dating it to 1971/2

Rolex 1675 MK5 below. In this case we go below to the SCOC text.  We are now looking at the alignment of the M in master with the C in chronometer. The “C” is aligned under and within the “M” with outer right edge of the C lining up with the right leg of the M. the serial range is approximately 5million to 5.9 million.  This example is a 5,0xx,xxx circa 1978.
