Hard to believe that this was the first ever Explorer II: Rolex 1655

Released in 1971..... Today's variant still has a clear DNA link to the original. Never a particularly popular watch in its day, the Explorer II epitomises the un-Rolex Rolex. Brushed steel. Non-rotating bezel. Quirky, for sure with that big orange hand. ...

within the vintage area its one that I want to keep. Post-radium and with some quirkiness.

Of a very cool watch. This watch is so underrated in my view. I love the Explorer II and just don’t wear mine enough. The detail on the dial and blacked out hands are fabulous. Not sure about that strap though my friend it might catch and rip down one of ... 

I have the bracelet, but do like to mix it up a bit.....
