I once asked him why he didn't take his watch off at night. He answered he was afraid that if he made a thoughtless movement during the night he could push it off the bedside table.

Well, I personally think the Air King is actually quite good value for money… But maybe that just proves that I - like many other watch lovers - have already lost relations and consider the general madness to be normal. Cheers Thomas

I am very far from there…but I gave my iWatch to my 11 year old daughter…she had no interest in watches but now I can see her glimpsing at my other mechanical watch from time to time 😎

My son wasn’t interested in mechanical watches at all until he got this beauty.

Super great watch. Mine is destined for the first great grandson upon his graduation.

Did you already buy it for him? And when yes do you save it for him? Or do you wear it a tiny little bit from time to time? 😎

I have the AK and wear it occasionally. So far i have given 10 Rolexes to the kids and grandkids on their graduation.

And together with the Air King that’s 11 Rolex’. My respect!

And yes, his joy in this watch has only increased. He has read everything about his Air King that could be found and also dealt a little bit with the history of Rolex. And he is now beginning to concern himself with mechanical watches in general. Let's se...  

I missed your post last year, but it is definitely heartening to know how much your son cherishes your gift! We might start to see him posting here, if he haven't already?

At the moment he is probably too young and still very busy with the many (non-material) interests he has. But I'm sure that time will come! Cheers Thomas
