That rose YM has exactly the same kind of feel. It’s a stunning watch, and I’m sure you’re enjoying it a ton.
I understand your feelings on being most comfortable in white metals. I tend to think they are more versatile no matter what the actual metal is. This is only my 2nd non-white metal watch (my other is a rose gold Patek 3940), but I enjoy these two immensely, and the variety they add is great for mixing things up. There’s a certain charm they possess that I find missing from white metals. So it’s a give and take, in my opinion. On on hand, we may sacrifice some versatility, but on the other hand we may gain some charm and originality.

The light from the sun was very warm as it was setting when I took these pictures. I didn’t realize the effect it had on the strap, but now that you point it out I see what you mean. It has been a lot of fun getting to know this piece.

If I were you, I’d just keep trying to see them and trying them on as often as you can so that you’re eventually resolute one way or the other. To me, they are both very nice, it’s just a matter of preference.
