Regarding the Daytona, I have to say that platinum is of course heavy. But after about half an hour on the wrist you simply forget about it. Over the decades the case has evolved into something that really hugs the wrist very naturally.
One watch I never really warmed up to was my Rolex Deepsea JC. Even though I actually liked the watch a lot.
It was even a bit lighter than the platinum Daytona. But with 44 mm it never sat comfortably on my wrist. Even though I am generally a fan of larger watches.
The way it sat on the wrist simply didn’t feel right. Especially when using it in a more sporty context.
