My enthusiasm on the pre-daytonas is always lukewarm. Mostly sustain by the fact they are vintage. Your post give refresh my perspective on these old-timer. Any chance of a comparison or group photo of the pre and current daytonas? Regards Tyler

This is not only a beautiful watch but also an important one too. Like you, I feel the balance of the Daytona is superb. Size, balance and poise. But in this watch you have something extra.....military history. This is a fantastic watch.....i need to see ...

Thank you Jeff for this nice review! I am always fascinated by how different a basic concept appears depending only on little changes: smooth bezel vs. tachy bezel. All silver dial vs. silver with black subdials. With its military background, this 6238 re...

Great review of an, indeed, fabulous watch ! Nice pictures that capture the sheer (sporty) elegance very well. About the bezel: I like it best with the smooth bezel (that is how I had it..;-) ) but must admit the tachy bezel makes it stand out a bit more....

... in these old Rolex chronos! May be it is in their clean dials, with much less inscriptions than in present models... Love its steel case and plain bezel. Lovely piece indeed! Looks so elegant with leather straps! Enjoy in good health Dr. Strong! Kind ...
