This is a very good question. Further context below.
I recall some sober advice in management textbook on “Executive Style” from some years ago that advised aspiring managers to purchase a good quality Swiss timepiece in two tone steel and yellow gold.
The logic being that two tone timepieces can go well equally with:
- Wearing black or brown shoes, belts and accessories
- Either silver or gold jewellery
Since that time the popularity of stainless steel, particularly Rolex models, has increased exponentially in comparison. I am interested in the thoughts of others.
To be honest with this short supply scenario of Rolex we are forced to like bi-metal pieces and you know what it’s happening .. actually started liking SKY D

I don't really understand how someone would feel forced to like something. Personally, I am not a fan of 2-tone watches and will never compromise just because I cannot get an all-steel or all-gold.
