My father in law wanted to get the 116500 Daytona, he went to the HK Rolex AD. The AD said this is the SRP price, my FIL said ok I will get one. The AD said there is no stock and a long wait list, maybe 10 years before you get one.
My FIL felt really bad because he really wanted the watch. The AD then says I can help you out, I know the HK Airport Rolex has one in stock but the price is USD19,000. If you want one I can get it for you.
Since he really wanted the watch badly, he bought it at that price. Mind you, this is not a grey market seller but official AD stores in HK.

All AD's and Grey Dealers in Hk have been enjoying the run on over charging for their stock for the past year!
Looks like we should avoid HK.
