One watch, it would have to tough enough to withstand daily use, possibly precious metal but under the radar (so not yellow/rose gold), and have enough horological value to satisfy my pretentious watch snob gene! Not sure I even have such a watch! 12 seems like a nice round number, I’ll take 12 over 1

I feel that to narrow
collection down only to one watch wold be more than difficult. Surely many of us wear some pieces more often than the others depending on each's activities. My guess is that your daily watch is DD.
One watch
If I had to choose one watch from my 23 collection would be almost impossible but if forced it would be my 20 year old Rolex Explorer 11 polar dial.

Amanico’s suggestion that 12 is a good number opens up a whole lot of possibilities. Instead of bringing the collection down to one piece, I could also consider that there is still room for more😇. And in all honesty, because of the overheated watchmarket ...
