What if...
Rolex suddently stopped production of this Deepsea D-blue Dial edition by next year??? Will this change your lukewarm reception of this watch? Just wondering how we respond, based on small production variations by the company... Just what if

I have the black dial version and the only rolex I have. I really like the glidelock bracelet, size and the weight. I may take a second look at the new version if the bezel was in blue to make it really distinctive.

and glad to see your son loving the DSSD... I agree 100% with all your advantages and disadvantages...the watch really is too tall and heavy for anyone with less than 7.5" wrist...even with a large wrist, the height of the piece is really a deal killer......
