Seiko

A tale of two watches… (or what happens after a GTG in new York…

… and you visit a Grand Seiko Boutique with no intention to buy a watch!)

Hello dear friends!

As we have told in previous post Art and me visited NY Grand Seiko Boutique during our past great GTG a couple of weeks ago.

Both Art and me entered the shop with no intention of buying any watch (I say it honestly!) but you already know Art fell in instant love with the Night Birch.

Now while he was dealing with his watch I browsed the many displays there and discovered the “Blue Birch” cousin of Art’s watch: SLGW 007.

This manual wind watch is powered by the beautiful caliber 9SA4 high beat, 80 hours power reserve.
Its dial blue texture is said to evoque the moonlit birch tree and it looks so nice that my horological heart begun beating fast and loud.

Well… as it happened to Art, I fell immediately in love with it.
But as I had a friend at the Miami Boutique I preferred to get it there after my return to Miami.

I phoned my friend in Miami to be sure they had the watch in stock and asked to reserve it till my return from Atlanta after the Knife Show.

Yesterday I visited the Miami Boutique and finally got my watch.

This watch will be a very special piece in my collection which will remind me of a great time spent with our friends assisting to the NY GTG, the nice two days spent in NY with my dear friend Art and our little adventure visiting the Grand Seiko Boutique with no buying intentions.

Best
Abel
