All I can say in their defense is
You have to see what they are doing and how they do it. You have to buy into the Japanese way of doing things. It's a lot like buying from an Independent.
But now they are going global with support and sales locations and that adds cost.
Another factor is they don't want an order backlog - a few watches are year at this $100,000 level are plenty for this small group of people.

They are more like Rolex with hand finishing at the high end of the spectrum. But even Rolex offers greater variety in addition to gradual improvements. They offer moon phase, annual calendar, the slim chronograph in the daytona ... Spring drive is great,...
