Here is the report of the event, to which I was invited by my AD, held at the latest most-talked-about high rise commercial building in Tokyo. I am having two luncheons for other watch brands at the same place this week 1. Venue Toranomon Hills (the name ...
Display is full of historical drool-worthy pieces..... For starter, original vs re-issue #1 The First Grand Seiko "Selfdater" original vs re-issue (although quartz...) 44GS, original vs Re-issue. Historically important pieces. 1967: 62GS - the first autom...
Dial making... I really hate to show this.... Here is the parts of the dial (index bar, logo, power reserve indicator, date window....). The video of the professional doing it. Looks very easy. So small.... This is the dial to work on - after I have put 1...

Only that I am grumpy that I wasn't on the guest list ;-) I wish they would host such an event in the U.S. But for a very few die-hards, the brand is still an extreme niche product. That, of course, makes it even more attractive to me.
