I wouldn’t have bet on such a timepiece for your first 2018 incoming.

The shape/case is really cool and, as you wrote, inspired from the 60s/70s eras. The crown at 4 is something I like a lot too.

I think they should have opted for a solid back even if I understand today’s marketing pressure for a see through back. That would have been more in the spirit of this watch for me. In addition, I don’t like when something is written on the sapphire to be honest. As usual, I give you my personal feeling 😉

And 44mm! Well my friend, even if there’s no lug, you “break your rules to master new ones” 😁

Enjoy and wear it in the best of your health.

Only 6 days in 2018 and you already pulled the trigger. Be careful, this year will be long 😁

Was one of those unexpected purchases, just like your last Prospex But then when looking at what I bought I figured there really is nothing on the watch out there yet Glad you liked it!

Thanks for your feedback and opinion! As I said, I never planned for or counted on this one coming home with me. Just felt fun As for the case back, I’m with you but I guess at this price point the appeal of seeing the movement - even in its ‘raw state’ -...

Not that expensive but then would the difference allow me to go for a nicer piece later in the year. Go for one grander one or two that I have wanted for several years but never gotten around to getting. That kind of stuff - but then I guess these conside... 

Is there room for other straps?

Love it. I may make the same purchase... It's hard to see how many straps would fit it - do you think you could get a shark mesh on there? I think it would look stunning on some sort of black mesh. Cheers!

You can most certainly play with straps!

Not that hard to even do at home with most Seikos. And at 22mm it’s the same lug distance as with the relaunched Turtle, so many options will be available
