First Seiko!
Recently picked up my first Seiko - a Lord Matic from ~1970. I chose this specific watch for 3 reasons: 1. The intriguing caseback inscription which translates roughly as: "In honor of meritorious services - President of Japan National Railways" indicatin...
A very nice pick-up! The diagonal angles on the case to the sides of the strap are very pleasing, somehow.
This is a style that is of its time, yet holds up very well. I don't know enough about Seiko movements of the time to comment, but I'd like to learn more. Congrats again!

I have this ref. in my “to buy” list also. It is precisely the case shape that attracted me. I also like the kanji day wheel very much. This is very representative of Seiko design and DNA. Best. René
