Celebrating My First Watch Over Yakitori in Japan
Haven’t posted in a while, but wanted to share my first real pickup, this Seiko SBXB105 Astron Novak Djokovic 2016 edition. Got it used and have been loving every second with it.
I love how the watch blurs the line between analog and digital with its GPS world time function and the black ceramic, mother-of-pearl dial, and that “jeweled” crown all provide such amazing details that elevate the watch! The numerals suspend over the dial which adds such a cool three dimensionality to it!
Took a few quick shots while enjoying some yakitori here in Japan, apologies for the photo quality, I’ve gained a whole new respect for actual watch photographers after trying to capture this piece 😅

The dial adds something unexpected to what is otherwise a more rugged tool watch. Kind like that Sinn with the MOP dial ( a watch I like a lot personally). Enjoy the new watch, and more importantly enjoy all that Japan has to offer. Try your best to walk ...

I like how it is a tool watch that has been transformed into a dressy watch! The watch is very much a blend of tool, dress, digital, analogue, and a lot of different things that shouldn't work but does!! And yes, I have def been exploring the side streets...
