Currently spending a week in Japan, I had one mandatory purchase to make. Already aware the green dial GMT was long gone and the 42mm blue dial close to sold out I was open to alternatives, I saw the SBGR089 in the first retailer I visited, I was complete...  

Very nice purchase! And from what I have gathered, a GS rarely stays alone for long, so I can picture some others joining the collection sooner or later Enjoy Japan!

I'm happy to see you cross the psychological hurdle and get a 37mm watch. It looks fantastic on your wrist with perfect proportion. I guess the long lugs also help.

But then again one would expect nothing less of you, Mike Is the crown shape a functional improvement, or just a design feature? I take it Brightz is a JDM only sub brand?
