I know you had mentioned regretting passing on it once upon a time. To date here’s the two straps I have tried out.
This “BlackBay Red Serie” strap from Gunny in Indonesia
Then later I put on this strap, something just laying around until I figured out what I planned to do for a better strap than above. It turns out I quite like the combo due to the strap aging in a great way.

I tried myself to source this beautiful watch without success earlier this year. If you look in the Seiko section thread I remember seing a fellow purist that have this watch but had put a read leather strap that was to die for with it...might give you so...
