First strap change in years (decades!)
After a couple of failed, butterfingered attempts by yours truly (scratched lugs) and a botched attempt by an equally maladroit AD (scratched case back), I shied away from strap changes for a couple of decades...
But, seeing so many nice “new shoes” on this site, and thanks to the encouragement of KMII (strap swapper extraordinaire), I finally got around to trying my hand at it again after so many years.
I swapped out the original, dressy black croc strap
on this GS with a more casual-looking leather strap and am very happy with the result.
The GS is definitely getting more wrist time !
p.s. Japan's cherry blossom season is underway.

The combination is excellent - and I find that regularly changing straps provides a lot of pleasure. It allows for somewhat unusual combinations and allows you to appreciate the watches thus ‘altered’ from a new perspective. Looking forward to what comes ...
I'm pleased indeed with the casual flavor of the new strap, esp. since I forgo suits and traditional business attire these days.

Actually, the swap on this GS turned out to be easier than what I'd previously experienced, due to the lugs having holes drilled through them for access to the spring bars (no need to use the dreaded mini, two-tined tool !)
After some errors with custom straps i stopped with strap changes
But i wear my watches with custom straps the most. I do not know why, but it is tru. Most worn watch, my BM Clifton mp, my Revue Thommen air speed. Visconti and Molequin. Molequin is good, but most straps of them goes if you chose 20mm lug, it end at 16mm...
