.... what is necessary is done, in terms of finishing. For SEIKO, Grand Seiko is "the world's best practical mechanical watch" and Credor is "the world's best dress watch", so they are meant to be for the different clientele or occasion. That said, mechanical Credor is getting rare to see these days.
Bottom line is, Grand Seiko movement is one of the most, if not THE most, reliable, accurate, robust movements out there, and that is what counts. My almost 45 years old Grand Seiko is the most accurate watch in my collection - 1 sec per day or two, in any position. Now, that is what Grand Seiko is really capable of. All in all, Grand Seiko is the true "bang for the buck" kinda super watch, IMHO!

Grand Seiko certainly represents the best value for an everyday watch
No pretenses to be anything else but singularly devoted to building a watch that we can wear everyday, and rely on to be accurate and reliable. Your pictures capture a lot of what makes it what it is. Very nice close ups!

These pictures certainly bares it all. But I bet to the naked eye, we won't be able to see it. but more importantly as Ken pointed out the GS line set out to be the best practical mechanical watch....which to me takes more priority
