. . . as a value proposition is precisely what Grand Seiko is about. Some folks, once having discovered their intrinsic value and innate beauty, continue along the same path, expanding their GS collections. Others (myself included) are satisfied with an example or two.
To put it another way: value (in terms of cost-to-quality) is a consideration for every collector, and prime for some, but unless it becomes an overriding one, the other watches in your collection will be able to breathe a sigh of relief.
