Great post and pictures -- thanks for taking the time. The GS Day-Dates have been a favorite for some time -- which model is this? I don't think the Day-Dates are available in the USA, if I recall, but can be ordered from Japan. John

Thank you, Mike! It's GS SBGV009, a remake of vintage 57GS (the second generation GS) from 1964. And you are absolutely spot on about the "grab and go". This is made by Seiko Epson which focuses on advanced timekeeping technology (quartz, solar GPS, etc.)...
