It's fascinating to get into the weeds of the 62MAS reissues

In terms of high end 62MAS reissues, we now have a choice between the SLA017, SLA037J1 and SJE093.

2023 Euros are not the same as 2017 Euros or 2020 Euros. The SLA017 was released at 3800 EUR in 2017, which would be closer to 4600 EUR today. The 6500 EUR retail price of the SLA037J1 would be closer to 7500 EUR today.

We can classify the SLA037J1 as its own thing, with a blue dial, high beat movement, bright steel and Zaratsu polishing.

That leaves the collector to choose between the SLA017 and the SJE093, the latter of which has proportions that are closer to the original 62MAS. In order to conclude that the SLA017 was made to a higher quality standard than the upcoming SJE093, you'd have to review both of the watches side-by-side. The 6L37 movement has the advantage of being thinner than the 8L35 movement, while real world performance of both movements will certainly exceed the published specifications.

Can anyone provide more technical information on why Seiko considers the 8L35 movement to be finer than the 6L37?

Assuming the quality of the case finishing is the same, the new SJE093 could be considered an practical improvement on the SLA017, offering the same performance in a thinner watch, with proportions that get closer to the original.
