What I like: - eye catching bezel, especially orange and to a lesser extent the blue one - symmetry of the four Arabic numerals - angular case design - slimmer case What I don’t like so much: - pricey compared to the competition - in the black bezel version, the characteristic numerals are difficult

Patek Philippe: Impressive but slightly over the top

While the hand graving is artistically stunning, it’s a bit too much for my personal taste. The 5159 is my personal dream watch and the epitomization of classical, timeless elegance. And, supposedly, even Laurent Ferrier called the 5159 a “legend” and his favorite Patek.

Independents: Missing the incomparable UJ Breguet numerals

No one does Breguet numerals like UJ does. Why have they dropped this design element? Likewise, the characteristic hands are now replaced by hands that look as if they have been taken straight from the Breguet workshop.
