Yes, the story is I used to have a much more generalist view of watch brands. And for awhile I had a fascination with blue dials - I think that was after the fascination with moon phase watches. And titanium cases. But I digress. I have had several Citize...  

So much added info - very grateful for them Speaking of The Citizen, how would you rate the finishing when compared to GS? Tried their automatics, too?

It might have been well built, but it didn't feel solid. It's hard to articulate - but some watches feel like they are made of solid steel, and others of pressed, stamped or "aluminum foil" steel. The Chronometer felt light and fragile. I haven't tried an... 

Some watches just feel as if they are chiseled out of a solid block of steel. Some feel flimsy in comparison, while there are watches that simply feel boat anchor heavy, without the solidity. Thanks also for the impressions on The Citizen - if GS are rare...

The AD considers me bonkers already, since I speak in reference numbers and they always need to consult the catalogue to know what I mean

If we take 1 Cazalea as the unit of measurement of Seiko-dom, are we talking 0,1 Cazaleas, 0,2 or something closer to one? In the latter case there may be only two or three people they would listen to

Is this the steel bracelet version on a third party blue strap or does it come with this strap included? I am going to Japan in less than a month and hope to pick up a GS while I am there, sadly I think the green dial GMT is sold out, so I am looking at a... 

Seiko sadly only offers brown and black at the moment

This model comes only with bracelet. The leather strap is after market and I changed it. And there are really handful of them left, if any, in Japan already. If you can grab in your region, I recommend you do it.... Ken
