I believe you are right: bought mine recently (thanks for your comments by the way on my thread) and was considering a datejust / GMT master 2 from Rolex when I got introduced to GS...and i just fell for the black dial as well with the red GMT function ! Having a Submariner and my wife a datejust, it was hard for me to get my mind set up outside of the rolex world (marketing...) but once you know how to appreciate horology you can only appreciate GS and recognize their value. Ok it won't hold it as well as Rolex but this was a special gift for a special moment that I will always remember, so the resale value is not relevant in this case as far as I am concerned.

The hardest choice was the dial
They released the peacock and now a boutique only blue dial. It’s a tough choice because this brand has such high quality that any color looks amazing. This black dial is sunburst but you can only tell in direct light. I love it so far. Will be testing it...
Beautiful GS. That GMT black dial is one of my favourites.
