But then there's also their amazing high-precision Quartz, their Spring Drives, their hi-beats, amazing chrono movements and the list goes on... Aaargh!

Mine are also both between 37 and 38mm and it is a really comfortable size for my wrist. Too bad more manufacturers are not offering much in that size range. Having said that, it is coming back - or at least watch sizes are slowly going down again... Enjo...
Classic will always remain classic.
And the race for bigger sizes of many of the watches in recent years is indeed getting somewhat out of hand... (Pun intended!) Agree with you - although 38mm is on the smaller size, it\'s absolutely perfect with more formal attire. Or if it\'s on a vintag...
