Or was this the pinnacle of mechanical watchmaking accuracy, period? It is also interesting that Grand Seiko was used as the main brand on the dial. Wonder why they abandoned this practice and began using simply 'Seiko' instead, relegating 'Grand Seiko' t...

I've heard that Rolexes were particularly accurate, but didn't know they go as far as to guarantee +/- 2 sec/day. Very impressive for Seiko to do this in 70s and for Rolex to do it for a million watches per year they produce

Congrats. The 3 mecanical VFA are stunning pieces. It is so incredible to see them together, in such good condition. 4580 is so rare, I have never seen it in real life. Please tell us more ...
