Singapore PuristS ! Enamel dial is well done, overall aesthetics are good, and great value for money ! The two minor issues IMO are that it is quite a thick watch and the date window’s top and bottom are not evenly cut. Cheers, Gordon ...
Your an enamel slave but a consenting one which makes all the difference 😉 I chose to not order one because I have to many watches at the moment and I want to decrease my collection. But the temptation was huge to be honest 😩 Best wishes Alkiro
I believe the aperture is cut before applying the enamel. The outcome of the enamelling process is sure to be a little bit hard to predict and the painted frame has to be aligned to the 3 o'clock marker.
I couldn't imagine trying to cut into a cured enamel surface. Seems like it would shatter or at least crack. Besides at a nominal viewing angle, I bet it visually centers the date in the frame better!
