The story of my Izul
I had been very impressed with the first Spring Drive I acquired in 2007 : Seiko SBDB001 aka MM600.
This watch is really great, the GMT Spring Drive caliber is a killer, it's probably my most robust and reliable watch. The MM600 is definitely the watch from my collection that has more wrist time.
I bought my first Grand Seiko in 2009 : SBGA029, another diver's watch powered by a great Spring Drive caliber.
As you can guess, I have some kind of fascination for Spring Drive calibers.
During fall 2009, I was at the Paris Seiko Boutique for a private event.
And I discovered the incredible Izul line with a Spring Drive chronograph caliber.
A Spring Drive chronograph was missing in my collection, but I was not very fond of Ananta models. The Izul is not playing in the same league.
So I bought SDAA003.
It is pure luck : I was in the right place I the right time.
Cheers

It was what has had me poisoned with the SDAAs in the first place But no luck so far and the Frankfurt Boutique understandably cannot get hold of them anymore - sold out a long time ago... Once again thanks for filling out the knowledge gap there and for ...
